Hmmmm...

So, I am writing this blog as a bit of a "venting" session...so I apologize ahead of time to anyone who happens to read it. I find myself in this same place every couple of years and each time I am sitting there in a bit of a stupor going..."Hmm...what happened? Did I say something? Did I do something? Not do something?" Each time I am unable to come up with an answer. You see, my problem is that every few years or so I meet someone that I just click with...girl...not boy. She and I become close, do things for one another, hang out, get eachother through tough times...normal things that friends do for eachother. Then, all of a sudden, out of the blue, I realize..."Wow, I haven't heard from ______ in awhile." So, I call, write, and anything else I can think of to get into contact with the missing person. The response is always the same...too busy, life is crazy...or no response at all. The funny thing is...well maybe not so funny to me...is that they just seem to be too busy for me. And then, the hurt begins. The confusion sets in. The self reflection goes into overload. I find myself comsumed with trying to figure out what it is that I have done to "drive" someone away...and each time I am stumped. I must admit that I am getting a bit of a complex...am I not a good friend? Am I one of those annoying people that everyone just pretends to like? I don't know...don't get it...and am so over this feeling of "eck." So, if you read this...have any thoughts...please, be honest...tell me, what is it that I do...I really don't want to be the annoying person everyone pretends to like!

You've got questions...I've got answers!

Over the past week I have had several people ask me a variety of questions about the items I am offering. Here are some answers for the enquiring minds...

Can you only do white onesies?
No. I have a variety of colors available such as: light pink, dark pink, canary, navy blue, baby blue, bright baby blue, and khaki.

What sizes are available?
Here are my size options:
0-3 months
3-6 months
6-9 months
9-12 months
12-18 months...ONLY AVAILABLE IN WHITE!

What if I want the design on a t-shirt instead of a onesie?
I can do t-shirts, sweatshirts, long-sleeve onesies, etc. If there is something you are thinking of, let me know and I will do everything I can to meet your needs.

How much do they cost?
The cost of a onesie is $15. The price for a t-shirt starts at $15...it may be a few dollars more depending on the cost of the t-shirt.

I love the design but not the color...are there other choices?
Yes, I take pride in creating custom designs that will meet your wishes. If you are wanting a different color, let me know and I will be glad to send you pictures of the fabrics I have in the colors you desire.

How can I contact you?
Well, there are two options available to you...you can either leave me a comment here on my blog or you may e-mail me at misskruser@hotmail.com.

Two more for the pickin'

Here are two more designs from the "whimsy workshop!" These are the "French Floursh" and "Royal" designs...each one is $15. As always...if you like the design but want it in a different color just let me know...or if you want it on a different color onesie I can do that, too! Smiles!

Chicka, chicka, boom, boom...

Yes, the wall lettters are here! Here are the letters I just finished for the spunkiest little 3 year old you have ever met. These letters are for sweet Payton and her new "big girl" room. Her mom told me that her bedding was the "Emma" collection from Pottery Barn Kids. So, I created letters that would coordinate with her bedding. If you are interested in wall letters please leave a comment and let me know...or you can e-mail me at misskruser@hotmail.com. I can create a design to match your child's room and have a variety of letter styles available. Be sure to check back later on...my goal is to have some more onesie styles by this afternoon. Smiles!

loser with a capitol L

Okay, so I win the "Loser" award for this week. I have to back-track a bit for you to understand the story...sorry for the detour! Well, you see, I have been "stalking" a blog that is written by a friend of mine from high school. Carrie (the friend) has four little ones and is so incredibly creative and talented. During my stalking, I realized that a lot of the things she makes...I could make if only I knew how to sew. So, about a month ago my mom...a.k.a...my best friend...taught me how to sew. As you know, just last week I decided to start these onesies. Well...now I'm getting to the "Loser" award...I decided to "steal" one of her ideas...the ADORABLY onesie with a tie on it. Now, here's the "Loser" part...I knew that I was stealing the idea but I didn't realize until I got home from JoAnn's, made my onesie, looked at her blog again, that I not only copied the idea but I also used the EXACT same fabric. So, yes, I will accept the "Loser" award for not only stealing the idea...but also the fabric. Anyway, moral to the story...please check out Carrie's blog (www.allthingsllanos.blogspot.com) she has some incredible ideas and projects...not to mention the humor! Thank you, Carrie and I am SOOOOOOO sorry for getting the same fabric, too...it wasn't on purpose. Maybe we could chalk it up to "great minds think alike?"

fresh from the "whimsy" factory

Well, if anyone has spoken to my husband in the past 24 hours he will tell you how OBSESSED I am with my latest venture. Yes, I have a notebook that is FULL of ideas, yes, I did stay up until about 1 in the morning last night because my brain was going a million miles an hour...and my husband was snoring rather loudly...and yes, I went to JoAnns nice and early this morning to get new fabrics plus tons of other goodies. So, here are my latest designs. I am calling them, "The Executive," and the "Trenzie"...the last one is a combo I made up for Trent and Kenzie...two new little ones that will be receiving their "hint of whimsy" in the near future! Pass them on if you would like...please know that any of the color combos can be changed and of course I am always up for suggestions. SMILES!

whimsy's first sale!

Yes, I know it is hard to believe but after only 2 hours of being "in business" I sold two items! A HUGE thank you to Lori who works with me...she purchased two onesies for a baby that should be arriving into this world sometime this week. So here are the photos of my first sale...notice the little note...I love it. Lori asked me to gift wrap it for her so I thought I had to share the wrapping job as well! I want to let everyone know that if you are interested in purchasing something please let me know and you can buy directly from me...you do not have to order from the website. Well, thanks for stopping by and visiting!

Add "a hint of whimsy" to your life!

So, as many of you know...I am a girl who loves to create things. I often find myself in a boutique or store, looking at something that is darling, and telling myself, "I could totally make that myself." So, after hearing..."You should totally start your own business," over and over again...I have decided to take the plunge. Yes, I know you probably can't believe it...either can I...but "a hint of whimsy" is here and with us. I am starting with custom made and embellished onesies, baby blankets, as well as name letters for children's bedrooms and nurseries. These onesies are the first items I have completed but there will be more coming! I do have an online store up and running...if you are interested, you can go to http://www.ahintofwhimsy.etsy.com/ to check it out. I am very excited about this new venture and I know it is going to be great. So, if you are looking to add "a hint of whimsy" to your life, let me know!
