Getting Caught Up::::Easter!

Yes, Valentine's Day is just a few days
away...and I'm over here just now posting
about Easter...ha!

This little one was very excited
to get to wear her "pretty dress"
for Easter.
How precious is she?

Of course there was the obligatory
sibling picture.
It is amazing to me how little
Landry looks in these pictures...
compared to how "grown up" he looks now.

Auntie K.K. won the prize for the
most amazing Easter "baskets" that's for sure.
My kiddos are so incredibly lucky to have an
auntie who loves them to pieces.
Yes...those are umbrellas and each one had a
theme to match.
Amazing!!!!

Before all of the fun, I wanted to
get a family picture of the 4 of us.
Someone insisted that Ariel be in the picture!

Not the best picture of the 4 of us...
but that's ok.
Also...that Ariel was a huge hit.
She is Lexie's sidekick now...
and has been since Easter.

After a yummy meal, it was time
to hunt for Easter eggs!

It is so funny when there is an
egg in plain site...but they don't see it!

Once we were tired of hunting eggs,
it was time for our traditional water gun fight!
We started this tradition several
years ago...and have kept it going.

Auntie K.K. was ganged up on this year...

two against one!

Did you notice those clouds in the
last pictures? Our water gun fight was
cut short because a storm rolled
in pretty quickly.

It was another great day spent with family.
Hanging out, eating yummy food, and just enjoying each
other's company...the best kind of day.

Here is the picture the kids took with the
live bunnies. Even now, Lexie looks
so big in this picture.

Easter Fun!

The week leading up to Easter was full of fun, great weather, and of course...eggs!
Every year we have to get our picture taken with the live bunnies.
You can see that Lexie was thrilled...and one bunny is trying to make a quick get-a-way. :)

On Friday Landry's preschool class had their Easter Party.
I was so excited to be off of work...and not sick...so that we could go have some fun with his preschool friends.
Confession...I "think" I get more excited about the parties than he does. :)

First up...bunny ears for everyone!

The teachers made these ADORABLE bunny bags for all of the kids.
They were hidden around the playground and the kids had to find the one with their name on it.

Next up...creepy Easter Bunny!
Ha...really...an Easter Bunny with a beard...you don't see that everyday. :)

You can see the kids weren't too sure about the Easter Bunny. :)

I almost forgot...all of the kids got Jamba Juice...yummy!
I helped with some basic face painting...and turned these adorable preschoolers into bunnies.

Of course we also dyed eggs with my mom and sister.
I didn't get a single picture.
I am finding that having a newborn limits your picture taking abilities. :)

Easter morning Landry woke up and found his basket waiting for him.

He woke up early...of course...
and tore into it quickly...
before I could get a picture of him with his basket.
His two favorite things...the scissors and Bubble Tape.
According to him..."I have always wanted a pair of scissors and now the Easter Bunny brought me some."
It's the little things in life. :)

Lexie got her own basket, too.
I can hardly wait for summer days by the pool with her in her adorable bathing suit!

My parents and Kaitlin came over for a great lunch and some egg hunting fun.
We had to make the hunt pretty quick since the weather was getting kind of yucky.

Counting his eggs to make sure they were all found...

Do you think he has a bit of my Type A/OCDness?
Does anyone else's 4 year old put their eggs in a straight line while counting?

A holiday isn't complete without pictures of these two cuties!

And in the spirit of Easter...bunny ears!

Lexie wasn't exactly thrilled with the situation...she'll get used to it. :)

Landry really wanted to take a picture of us...here is his photography debut!

Not too bad if I do say so myself. :)

Easter Fun!

It isn't officially Easter time until Landry takes his picture with the bunnies!
He loves going to see them each year...and I am pretty sure the feeling is mutual.

Sorry for the poor picture quality...this is a picture of the picture from my phone!

Landry also had an Easter party at preschool.
Here he is decorating his basket...getting ready for the egg hunt!

All of the "bunnies" lined up and ready to find some eggs.

Each child was allowed to find 7 eggs...the race was on!

Last one!

Apparently this is the look I get when I try to take his picture, outside, and he doesn't have his glasses on. :)

After the egg hunt the kids enjoyed an outside picnic.
Here is Landry and his buddy Luke!

So thankful to have the week off and be able to spend time with this cutie!
Also so grateful to have him in a preschool that is so loving and does so many fun things for the kids...while teaching them a ton!

Fast forward to Easter morning...
Landry followed the carrot trail to his basket!

He was very excited about all of his goodies! But...then he showed a bit of ungratefulness when he asked where the "rest of his stuff" was and if "this was all he got." So, I "gently"...not so gentle...had him count all of the items the Easter Bunny brought him, reminded him that Auntie KK and Uncle Ron had a basket for him, Nawnie and Papa had a basket for him, G.G. and Poppie had one for him...and then I decided to show him some pictures of other children in the world that were less fortunate than him. Can you tell I was more than a bit upset...and disappointed in him? So...things are going to be changing a bit around here!

Ok...enough of my soapbox...back to Easter. :)

When Auntie KK, Uncle Ron, Nawnie, and Papa came over...as promised...there were more goodies for Landry to check out!

After lunch it was time for the egg hunt!
Landry had been "practicing" all week and could hardly wait to find the eggs.
Some of them proved to be easy to find...

While others were a bit more "challenging!" :)

He seriously walked right by this one at least three time!

This was probably the most challenging! Can you spot the egg?

It is right there...right in front of your nose!

After we did a few egg hunts...it was time for...what has become a bit of a tradition...water gun fight!

Everyone was armed and ready to go...except Uncle Ron.
Apparently he doesn't enjoy a good squirt gun fight. :)

I know where Landry got his love of water guns...this guy!

The two of them show no mercy!

It was a wonderful afternoon...once again...beautiful weather, yummy food, and fun times with family. Unfortunately I forgot to get a picture of the 3 of us. :(
