Good-bye 2013...Hello 2014

I have to start by saying that this one of my favorite posts each year. I don't know why, but I am always so surprised of all of the fun times we had together as a family. There are always a few things that have slipped my mind and this post brings all of those fun times back.

Overall 2013 was a pretty good year for the Lofgrens. Once again we were blessed with a year full of family, fun times with friends, not quite as many costumes as years past, but lots of weddings.

Here's a look back at all the fun we had!

Our year always starts celebrating Chad's birthday...today's his birthday!

After Chad's birthday it was time for some football fun with our annual Super Bowl Party!

Unfortunately...or fortunately...however you look at it :) ...the Niners lost...but Landry was the big winner of the day!

Next up...Landry's first snow trip!

He loved it...and has been asking non-stop when we are going this year. Gotta wait for some snow!

One of the biggest milestones this year was that Landry got potty-trained!

Woohoo...no more diapers...just chonies for this guy!

In March we had a weekend get-away to one of our favorite places...Santa Cruz!

We were finally able to talk Landry into riding the train at The Boardwalk...but nothing else. :)

I enjoyed a fun day cooking with my aunt, mom, sister, and my sister's bridesmaids as we learned how to make beerocks.

And it isn't officially Spring Break until we have had our traditional zoo trip with Amy and Erin!

This was the first time that Landry actually put his hand in the water at Stingray Bay...the first time he actually got close to the water.

Next up...Easter!

This year was the year of the water gun fight!

Before we knew it, it was time to celebrate someone's 3rd birthday! Three...how is that even possible?

Then we got into the wedding mode...
First up...Kaitlin's bridal shower I threw for her at Sequoia Brewing Company

Then we celebrated Chad's cousin, Kelli's, big day!

Our summer was full of fun! We kicked it off with...t-ball!

We got a behind the scenes tour of the elephants at the zoo...

Auntie KK got married...

Landry and Amy had their first movie date...

Landry started preschool!!!!

We also had lots of fun with trips to the lake...

Landry even got to drive Ryan's boat!

We had fun with the Nettos at Avila...

and swimming in their pool!

Oh...and I did this...

Yup...I got a teeny, tiny, white ink tattoo on my ankle!
Since it is so hard to see...which I LOVE...it is Landry's monogram...which I also LOVE.
Thank you, Sheri for coming with me on our tattoo adventure. :)

Then we were off to our final wedding of the year...in...Portland!
Landry did great on his first flight!

We had lots of fun checking out Portland with G.G. and Poppie...

enjoyed some Voodoo doughnuts...

were so honored to be able to celebrate "Big Mike" and Stephanie's special day...

and loved exploring the Oregon Zoo!

When we got back into town we celebrated Corbin's 30th...Mad Men style!

The end of summer means one thing...Fresno State Football!

Of course it isn't the fall without our annual girl's trip...plus Landry...to the Avila Valley Barn for pumpkins!

This was our third year...and the best so far!
Landry finally decided that pumpkins are pretty cool. :)

Pumpkins means...Halloween!
Our fun circus of a family...well...two of us are fun...one of us...well...I still have no comment for that costume!

Before we knew it, it was the holidays!
We kicked off the season with Landry's Preschool Christmas Performance.

Landry visited Santa...

looked at Christmas lights...

made a gingerbread house...

wore Christmas jammies...

and opened a ton of presents!

Finally, Chad and I rang in the new year with our good friends at Jeff and Deborah's house!

As you can see...it was a great year for us!
We are so thankful for all of the wonderful people that are in our lives and help make our years so much fun.

I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store for us!
